LensFlare ("we", "the app") is a community app for discovering and sharing scenic car photography spots, organising groups, and planning drives. This policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

• Account details: your name, email address, and profile photo.
• Content you create: photo spots, photos, reviews, favourites, groups, convoys, and drive history you add.
• Location data: coordinates for spots you save, and your temporary live location when you opt in to sharing a trip.
• Communications: notification and email settings, and messages you send within the app.
• Usage data: basic analytics events (such as features used) to improve the app.

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the app's features: mapping spots, groups, convoys, chats, and drive history.
• To send you notifications and emails you have requested, such as convoy reminders and group invites.
• To keep the community safe and prevent abuse.
• To understand how features are used and improve the app.

How Your Data Is Shared

Your content is visible to other members according to the visibility settings you choose for each spot (public, friends, group, or private). Live location is only shared with the friends or group you select, and only while a trip is active.

Subscription payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe); we do not store your card details. We share data only as needed to run the app (for example, hosting and email delivery providers), or where required by law.

Data Retention and Deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Danger Zone; this removes your account along with your spots, favourites, reviews, and friendships. Live location data stops being shared the moment a trip ends or you stop sharing.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact LensFlare support and we will respond as required by law.

Children

LensFlare is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes and Contact
